Less Food For Wages

Food prices continue to increase around the world:

Despite the average Polish salary rising by 1.6 percent compared to 2011, Poles are currently able to buy less food for their money.

According to Gazeta Wyborcza, basic items such as pork, beef, chicken, flour, cheese and eggs have increased at a disproportional rate.

However, Krystyna Swietlik of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Food Economy tells Dziennik Gazeta Prawna that falling food prices in the EU, such as poultry, is certain to soon spill over into Poland.
